Pencil It In - Luella's Boudoir Wedding Fair & The Wedding Sanctuary

Style :
You may well be caught up in the fever that is award season in Hollywood but for us Wedding industry people, it's wedding fair season and that's way more exciting that (sad, I know).  There are a whole host of fabulous events on offer to brides to be these days. Gone are the bland hotel fairs with just 4 suppliers, these emerging ones are appropriate, fun, useful and you get cake and cocktails.

There are two big events taking place on Sunday 20th March and all I can suggest is that you squeeze both in and make the most of the day immersing yourself in weddingness! So if you fancy making a day of it, tickets to both the Luella's Wedding Fair and The Wedding Sanctuary events on the Sunday are available at special discounted rates of £20 (single) and £30 (double). See below for further booking information.

Sunday 20th March for afternoon tea: 12 - 5.30pm
Monday 21st March for cocktails: 4 - 9pm

Luella’s Boudoir (yes, the very lovely boutique that the UK Bloggers Photoshoot took place at) has teamed up with Cosmopolitan Bride to host The Luella’s Boudoir Wedding Fair, at the stunning, One Marylebone, in London. They'll be joined by experts from Bespoke Events London and Hayford & Rhodes who will be decorating the venue in a gorgeous, vintage, floral style. Rhubarb Food Design, which will be offering you some delicious tea time treats, top London wedding cake designer Mich Turner, from the Little Venice Cake Company and the team from One Marylebone, who will be helping you to imagine just how stylish your day could be, at what is fast becoming, London’s Wedding venue of choice.  Believe me, this is one venue that will literally take your breath away.

I was lucky enough to attend the first fair last year and I have to say the catwalk fashion show was a real crowd pleaser and is a must see. This year they will present the latest wedding dress designs, exclusively available at Luella’s Boudoir by Charlotte Casedejus (you can see me in one of her gorgeous designs for the photoshoot), Lisa Redman, Jaqueline Byrne, Caroline Atelier and “New” Aussie designer Johanna Johnson, who will be showcasing her stunning collection for the first time in the UK.

Of course there will be a whole host of wonderful suppliers and experts from its Exclusive Bridal Directory - do visit the Luella's blog for all the information on who and what will be there!

Tickets cost just £12 each (or get two for the special price of £18) with £2.00 per ticket going towards The Eve Appeal. And the best bit - you'll also receive a little goody bag at the end!

To book tickets, you can email or call 020 8879 7744.

Sunday March 20th
11am - 1pm & 2pm - 4pm

Next up on your to-do list should be a visit to The Wedding Sanctuary at the prestigious Somerset House. This is an event with a difference as the concept was conceived by wedding planners of the UKAWP (whom I have in fact received wedding planning training from so can't recommend them enough!) it is an innovative wedding show designed to offer top design inspiration, personal style advice and the best one on one planning support available. Your one-stop planning refuge. A well worth visit if you have just got engaged and are a bit overwhelmed with the planning!

Top names in the industry such as Julia Boggio Photography, Amanda Austin Flowers, Sternberg Clarke and Gorgeous Film Productions will be teamed with wedding planners who make up the UKAWP to offer top tips and the opportunity to answer specific questions regarding every element of your wedding day.  You will be invited to sip champagne and nibble delicious canapés whilst browsing the inspiration zone for design ideas - they will even have dining tables styled and set up to inspire you as well Zoe Clark Cakes and Cutture Stationery, displaying the very best of what is available to hire for your wedding reception, with pricing guidelines and practical information included.

Brides will also have a chance to receive one to one style advice from the likes of Sassi Holford and Emmy Shoes amongst others as well as head to toe styling advice including accessories and hair and make up experts.

Do visit The Wedding Sanctuary Website for more information on all the fantastic industry people who will be there for you to talk to and get advice from on the day.

Tickets are £10 or £15 for a double ticket (so you can bring your groom!) and can be booked via the website  - or by calling 01483 282858
